A very heart touching condition of a 10 year old girl named Iman. She was a brilliant student and very much active in studies, she use to get severe headache while she was in school, due to this headache she has to leave her studies. Her parents consulted a doctor in Iraq where she was diagnosed with brain tumor. A local doctor suggested them to give radiations so that the tumor will decrease, unfortunately after 2 months the tumor was re-grown and little Iman had no relief from the pain she was suffering from.

Iman’s parents took a decision to bring her to India for the further treatment. Through an agency they consulted Dr. Arun Saroha at Max hospital, India specialized in Neurosurgery, Neurosciences. They came to India and met Dr. Saroha and he examined the 10 year old and found that there was a large tumor on Iman’s forehead. The tumor was growing gradually from the base of the skull interiorly. She was already operated twice for the tumor so there was no skin over the tumor. According to the surgeon the condition of Iman was so much horrifying as the tumor was growing and fungating all over the mass on the forehead, it almost took over her eye area and went up to the brain and it was indeed a very frightful sight for the doctors. After conducting the investigations it was clear that Iman has to go through a surgery which only can benefit her and give her relief from the brain tumor, the success rate of the surgery was 95%.

It was a great challenge for the doctors to perform this surgery, they did an angiography and firstly blocked the vascular supply of the tumor due to which it was growing. After blocking the supply they proceeded with the surgery wherein they started removing the tumor which took a long time of 4.5 hours for the complete removal. The tumor was a very grade tumor which required radiotherapy even after surgery. However the doctors and hospital did every possible cure for Iman and did what the Max hospital stands for, i.e super speciality and excellence.

The Parents of Iman were very thankful to Dr. Arun saroha and team, as they performed the critical operation so well and gave them back their daughter with all wellness and cure. Iman was happily discharged and recovered from the brain condition very soon. It was a phenomenal surgery that was carried out and the results were amazing.
