Dr. Srinivas is currently the Director of Orthopedics Department at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road. He is a Senior Consultant and Joint Replacement Surgeon with over 13 years of extensive surgical experience and has operated over 1600 surgeries (over 500 Joint Replacement surgeries). He is also active in academics and have presented several papers in both national and International conferences.

Professional Experience

He graduated from Bangalore Medical College in 1997 and is a recipient of gold medal from Bangalore University for excelling in the field of Surgery. He further did his Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery from the A.I.I.M.S (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), New Delhi. In December 2006, he joined the Wockhardt Super Specialty Hospital (now Fortis Hospitals) as a Senior Consultant for Joint Replacement Surgery and still continues to be so.

He had pioneered the Orthopedic department and performed over 600 surgeries in the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry in 2002 and continues to be a visiting faculty there. He further visited Charite Hospital, Berlin, Germany (2002) for Basic Joint Replacement Surgery, France 2003 and Australia 2005 for Minimal Invasive and Computer Assisted Joint Replacement Surgery. Later he joined Wockhardt Hospital, and mastered his practice in the Joint Replacement Surgeries. In 2008, he re-visited Germany to augment his skills on Hip Resurfacing Procedure. At Fortis Hospitals he has successfully performed more than 1000 major surgeries are Joint Replacement Surgeries, Complex Joint Trauma, Knee Arthroscopy, Spine Surgeries and Custom fit Joint Replacement.

He is academically a very active person. He has done 11 national paper presentations and 1 International paper presentation. He also has number of publications of which the recent one is about “Clavicle Fracture associated with Subclavian Artery and Vein Injury”- journal of Trauma, US 2008 and chapter on “Osteoarthritis” in text book of Geriatric Medicine published by Help Age India. He has delivered guest lectures on Joint Replacement Surgeries in multiple Indian Medical Association meets in different parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
